On the morning of 25 March, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Association of Craft Villages, the Association’s leadership held a working session with the delegation from the Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore, together with Singaporean enterprises, to discuss cooperation potential, trade promotion, and market expansion opportunities for Vietnamese handicraft products.
At the meeting, Mr. Cao Xuan Thang – Trade Counsellor at Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore, shared important insights into the Singapore market and highly appreciated the potential of Vietnamese handicrafts to penetrate this market and expand further to international markets. The Trade Office also introduced several reputable partners in Singapore, opening up practical cooperation opportunities for enterprises and members of the Association.
In particular, the Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore proposed coordinated initiatives to organize Vietnamese business delegations to Singapore for market surveys and business matching, while also facilitating visits by Singaporean partners to Vietnam. These efforts aim to strengthen trade exchanges, promote investment, and expand bilateral cooperation. Both sides also agreed to closely coordinate in providing and updating information on policies and market trends in Singapore to better support Association members.
Speaking at the session, Mr. Tran Van Chin – Chairman of the Board of Arobid Technology JSC, introduced Arobid as an innovative B2B e-commerce ecosystem serving as a bridge for Vietnamese enterprises to access global markets. Arobid offers comprehensive solutions, including:
- Arobid B2B Marketplace: An online trading platform that helps businesses optimize supply chains, find partners, negotiate, and manage electronic contracts using AI and big data.
- Arobid TradeXpo: A digital trade exhibition system enabling enterprises to participate in online trade fairs, build virtual booths, and connect buyers and sellers 24/7 without time limitations.
- Arobid Goods for Good: A sustainable trade platform supporting enterprises in fulfilling corporate social responsibility (CSR/ESG) through connections with non-profit organizations, contributing to a green and sustainable business community.
Representing the Vietnam Association of Craft Villages, Mr. Trinh Quoc Dat – Chairman, emphasized the Association’s role in connecting and supporting its members in expanding international trade. In recent years, the Association has actively promoted trade with major markets such as the United States, Belgium, the Netherlands, India, Japan, Thailand, and Indonesia, thereby enhancing the value and global branding of Vietnamese craft village products.
Mr. Trinh Quoc Dat also affirmed that, with its extensive membership network and the rich potential of traditional craft villages, the Association stands ready to cooperate closely with the Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore and international partners to expand markets, promote exports, and enhance the competitiveness of craft village enterprises in the context of deep global integration.
The meeting opened up numerous concrete cooperation prospects, contributing to stronger trade connectivity, enhanced trade promotion, and more effective market access for Vietnamese handicrafts in Singapore and beyond.
